Any ‘others’ or ‘other’?

Which one is correct? Any ‘others’ or ‘other’?   1. Do you know you are unlike any other? 2. Do you know you are unlike any others? Are both correct, but with different meanings? Sentence 1, Do you know you are unlike any other? is correct if the “you” that is used refers to a single person. “Any other” in the sentence means “any other person”.   “You are unlike any other. You are distinct, with specific needs and goals.” Sentence 2, Do you know you are unlike any others? can be used if the “you” refers to more than one person, and what the speaker/writer means by “others” is clarified by adding something after it. For example, the sentence can read: Do you know you are unlike any others I have taught before?   – where “you” refers to a whole class. SPEAR Translation http://www.spear.com.hk
